两院院士

  万建民,男,1960年6月出生,江苏泰兴人,水稻分子遗传与育种专家。现任中国农业科学院副院长、教授、博士生导师。2015年12月当选中国工程院院士。
 1982年获南京农业大学农学专业学士学位,1985年获南京农业大学作物遗传育种硕士学位,1995年获日本京都大学农学博士学位。1996年任日本京都大学农学部特别研究员,1997-2001年任日本农林水产省农业研究中心研究员。1999年被教育部聘为首批“长江学者奖励计划”特聘教授。2000年回国工作,历任南京农业大学农学院院长、中国农业科学院作物科学研究所所长。兼任中国作物学会常务副理事长、中国农业生物技术学会副理事长、国家转基因生物新品种培育科技重大专项技术总师、国家发改委生物技术产业咨询委员会副秘书长、国家“863”计划“作物分子育种”项目负责人。
  万建民长期从事水稻优异基因挖掘和分子育种研究,在国内较早提出和初步实践了作物分子设计育种。先后主持国家863、国家自然科学基金等多项重大课题。在水稻籼粳交杂种优势利用基础研究、品质优异基因挖掘、抗病虫新基因挖掘和优质高产多抗粳稻新品种选育等方面取得重要进展。克隆水稻重要新基因27个,培育新品种10个,获新品种权15项、发明专利28项。在Nature、Nature Biotechnology、Nature Comminucation、Developmental Cell、PNAS、Plant Cell等SCI刊物发表论文150余篇,出版专著3部。研究成果“抗条纹叶枯病高产优质粳稻新品种选育及应用” 2010年获国家科技进步一等奖(第一完成人),并获教育部2010年度高校十大科技进展。“水稻籼粳杂种优势利用相关基因挖掘与新品种培育”2014年获国家技术发明二等奖(第一完成人)。“水稻矮化多分蘖基因DWARF 53的图位克隆和功能研究”获教育部2014年度高校十大科技进展。“阐明独脚金内酯调控水稻分蘖和株型的信号途径”入选2014年度中国科学十大进展。2006年入选新世纪百千万人才工程国家级人选,2012年入选国家万人计划和科技部创新团队,2012年获得何梁何利基金科学与技术进步奖。
